Steve brings 25 years of experience as a publisher (Southern Cow Music, Writer Zone Music LLC), consultant (Artist and Repertoire LLC), and A&R Rep (Gian Records to the ambitious young company, Demolition Music, where he proudly serves as Creative Consultant, focusing primarily on strategy planning, writer development and song plugging services. He also provides independent song scouting services for Doug Johnson, the creative head of Black River Entertainment. Steve is a frequent guest of the West Coast Songwriters Association, the Durango Songwriters Expo, the AZ songwriters Association, TAXI, the Austin Songwriters Symposium, Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters Festival, the Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival and various SGA and NSAI events. He was an NSAI Pro-on-the Road, lead two on-line classes for SongU.com, and was the country music mentor for Middle Tennessee State University’s acclaimed Writers Loft program.
